1. Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala
Located in the heart of the city, the Ujjayanta Palace now serves as a state museum. Built in 1901 on the banks of two lakes surrounded by gardens, this colossal monument was the home to the ruling Manikya dynasty till 1949. Named by RabindraNath Tagore, the edifice consists of public halls, darbars, temples and a library. The palace also served as the Agartala Legislative Assembly till 2011. 4. Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary
Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, the biodiversity heaven of Tripura, is bestowed with a vast variety of flora and fauna. Activities like boating, elephant ride and educational tour of the coffee and rubber plantations are also available here. 5. Jampui Hills

6. Tripura State Tribal Museum
Covered mostly with forests of bamboo and cane tracts, the state of Tripura houses several tribal communities that possess a peculiar culture and tradition. This tribal richness is showcased in the Tripura State Tribal Museum that consists of authentic momentos and embossed figures, depicting the history of the Tripura indigenous people. The museum is located in Agartala, and reflects a total of 19 tribes of the entire state.

7. Ramakrishna Mission
Dedicated to the pioneer of the Ramakrishna Mission, Ramakrishna Paramhans, this sacred temple holds an imminent importance as he spent his last days at this place. The entire building is surrounded with beautiful gardens and every 1st of January is celebrated with great pomp and show here.

8. Kunjaban Palace
The Kunjaban palace or the Pushbanta palace, now serves as the Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the Governor of Tripura. Built in 1917 by Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya Debbarman Bahadur, the palace is famous for its scenic beauty and for being a seat of creation of some evergreen poems and songs. The great Kabiguru Rabindra Nath Tagore resided in this palace during his stint in Agartala.

9. Gandacherra Wildlife Sanctuary
